Compatibility
The Buzzco Halo™ attaches via magnet directly to your phone's rear camera area. It has been tested with the following devices:

iPhone 12 and later (including MagSafe models) — full magnetic hold, no accessory required

iPhone X / XS / 11 — attaches via the included metal ring adhesive plate

Android phones (Samsung Galaxy S21–S24, Google Pixel 6–8, OnePlus 11) — attach via the included metal ring adhesive plate
Other Android models: The Halo will attach to any flat metal surface at the rear of the phone. Results may vary on curved glass backs — we recommend the adhesive plate for a secure hold.
Using Through a Phone Case
Magnetic strength through a case depends on case material and thickness:

Works well (tested): Thin silicone cases (≤2 mm), slim hard-shell plastic cases, official Apple MagSafe cases

Works with reduced hold: Standard TPU cases (2–4 mm) — hold is functional but lighter; avoid vigorous movement

Not recommended: Thick rugged/armoured cases (>4 mm), cases with built-in kickstands or wallets, metallic or ring-grip cases that interfere with the magnetic field
For best results on thick cases, apply the adhesive metal plate directly to the case exterior.
PopSockets, Grips & Ring Holders
Remove any protruding grip or ring holder before attaching the Halo. A flat PopSocket base left in place may reduce magnetic contact — detach the top entirely for a secure fit. The Halo's built-in kickstand replaces the need for a separate grip during shooting.
Wireless Charging
The Buzzco Halo™ is powered by its own internal battery and charged via USB-C — it does not affect your phone's wireless charging in any way. You can charge your phone wirelessly (Qi or MagSafe) independently at any time, with or without the Halo attached.
Note: If your phone case includes a built-in battery or wireless charging coil, ensure the Halo's magnet does not interfere with the coil placement. In testing with standard Qi cases, no interference was observed.

Charger required: USB-C cable and a 5V USB-A or USB-C adapter (not included). Fast chargers (9V+) are not recommended and may reduce battery lifespan.

Setup

Charge the Halo first — connect via USB-C until the LED shows solid white.

Attach to your phone — align the Halo's magnet to the rear camera area and press gently. For phones without built-in magnets, first stick the included adhesive metal plate to your phone or case.

Power on — press the single button to turn on. Press repeatedly to cycle through brightness levels.

Adjust colour temperature — long-press the button to toggle between warm (2700K) and cool (7500K) light.

Use the kickstand — fold out the built-in stand for hands-free filming on any flat surface.

Power off — hold the button for 2 seconds until the light turns off.
How can I reduce ring-light reflections in my glasses?
Try moving the light slightly to the side rather than directly in front of your glasses, raising it above eye level, and reducing the brightness. Preview the frame before recording and adjust the position until reflections are less noticeable. Results vary with your lenses and camera angle; these adjustments do not guarantee glare-free footage.
